More than 416,000 visitors enjoyed the province's valleys this past weekend
The province of Córdoba once again positioned itself as the main tourist destination in the country by receiving 416,000 people this last weekend. This massive flow of visitors reflects renewed confidence in consumption thanks to the drastic reduction of inflation at the national level. The president of the Córdoba Tourism Agency, Darío Capitani, defined the region as "the chosen province in the country" after analyzing these figures.
Fiscal balance and monetary order allow Argentine families to plan their vacations again with a level of predictability that did not exist before. Without the inflationary tax that previously devoured wages, the tourism sector is experiencing a genuine reactivation driven by private savings. Tourists now find more stable prices in hotel and gastronomic services, making it easier to enjoy a longer stay in the sierras.
The Punilla, Calamuchita, and Traslasierra valleys concentrated the largest influx of travelers, far exceeding merchants' expectations. Towns such as Jesús María reached 100% occupancy, benefited by the return of popular festivals and economic calm. In Villa General Belgrano and Santa Rosa de Calamuchita, occupancy reached 95%, consolidating a historic summer for the rest and leisure industry.

Record figures in the main tourist centers
Villa Carlos Paz reported 85% of available accommodations occupied, a figure that rose to 90% in the case of higher-category and higher-service establishments. In the Traslasierra area, Nono recorded 85%, while Mina Clavero and Cura Brochero maintained steady levels between 75% and 70%. Other destinations such as Miramar with 87% and Colonia Caroya with 90% demonstrate the diversity of options that Argentines choose for their summer vacations.
The extensive schedule of musical and cultural events acts as a magnet that boosts the movement of capital toward the interior of the province. This commercial dynamism is a direct consequence of responsible fiscal policies that have restored the real value of the national currency in a short time. The cleanup of public accounts allows tourism to stop being considered a luxury for the few and to become an activity that is accessible to any Argentine family.
The summer season is on track to break all previous records thanks to the disappearance of the economic uncertainty that previously held back spending. Córdoba reaffirms its role as the epicenter of national entertainment, offering legal security and price stability for the entire market. With inflation almost eliminated, Córdoba's tourism sector is projecting sustained growth that will benefit thousands of local workers.
