A bus belonging to the Fonobus company lost a front wheel while traveling through the center of Córdoba. The accident occurred on Friday night on Catamarca Street at the 400 block, in a high-traffic area. The vehicle became destabilized, skidded, and ended up crashing into a streetlight pole.
There were six adult passengers on board at the time of the accident. Two of them had to be assisted by an emergency service at the scene. Fortunately, there was no need to transport them to a hospital and no serious injuries were reported.
The police arrived immediately and cordoned off the area to ensure safety. An investigation was also launched to determine the causes of the incident. The mechanical condition of the vehicle is being investigated by the authorities.

Structural precariousness of intercity transportation
The failure occurred in a unit that provides intercity service between the capital and towns in the interior. Witnesses indicated that the wheel suddenly detached while the bus was in motion. The impact caused great shock among passengers and pedestrians.
