Córdoba: ridiculous environmentalists disrupted their green circus by shouting about a tree
They called for saving a white quebracho and exposed the farce of the event that the government organized with public funds
While Córdoba sinks amid potholes, garbage, and insecurity, the ruling party organized a climate summit with no real impact. In the midst of an environmentalist show financed with public resources, a group of environmentalists erupted with an unexpected demand. "Save the quebracho blanco!" they shouted, drowning out the speech that was supposed to save the entire planet.
The scene took place at the Convention Center, where the 1st International Climate Conference is being held. There, more than 5,000 accredited attendees listened to empty speeches about the circular economy and territorial resilience. However, a handful of protesters interrupted the event, demanding that a tree in Villa Allende not be cut down.
The protest targets the works on Padre Luchesse Avenue, which would affect a quebracho blanco over 200 years old. The protesters are camping a few meters from Villa Allende to stop the removal. They demanded that the government "be consistent" with its ecological discourse.

The green inconsistency that exposed the official farce
The episode was dubbed by the protesters themselves as a "climate counter-summit". The message was clear: "You can't talk about the environment while destroying native trees." A single tree was enough to collapse the hollow rhetoric of the official event.
Meanwhile, while the provincial government was signing commitments to "save the planet," its own people were demanding a halt to a road project. The scene exposed the double standard that characterizes these initiatives. The same policy that prints recyclable brochures would cut down a tree to pave a road.

The invention backfires on the inventor
The truth is that while international forums are organized with catering, screens, and green marketing, Córdoba's capital is collapsing. Entire neighborhoods live with broken streets, accumulated garbage, unlit streetlights, and no police presence. However, millions are allocated to an event that ended up being interrupted by its own supporters.
The management of Córdoba's Peronism is once again exposed: speeches for the public and neglect within. The episode of the quebracho blanco is not a minor detail: it shows the abyss between what they say and what they do. This time, the ecological inconsistency blew up in their faces.
On social media, users wasted no time mocking the scene. "They invented a summit to applaud each other and ended up shouting at each other live," summarized a neighbor. The irony went viral: not even the ridiculous environmentalists believe them.
