Agriculture and industry as drivers of growth
The agribusiness sector remains the pillar of Córdoba's economy, with corn, peanuts, soybeans, and wheat among the main exported products. In 2024, it accounted for 85% of external sales and keeps its leadership in 2025.
Corn grew by 9% in 2024 and consolidated the trend this year. Processed peanuts continue as a provincial emblem, while cereals sustain the strength of Córdoba's countryside in the global demand for food.
The novelty of this period is the rise of auto parts as one of the five main exported categories. The local automotive industry capitalizes on investments and industrial parks to diversify the export basket.

New destinations: Asia and the Middle East gain weight
Brazil remains a strategic partner, with exports worth U$S1.820 billion in 2024 and strong prospects for 2025. The country mainly absorbs auto parts and agribusiness products.
Vietnam has established itself as a key market, with 72% growth in 2024, driven by corn and peanuts. This Asian destination is now a hub for strategic diversification.
India rose to third place in the ranking of destinations, surpassing China and Chile. Indian agricultural demand reaffirms the dynamism of Asian markets and Córdoba's capacity for adaptation.

Outlook and challenges for Córdoba
Córdoba's export growth is moderating compared to the 2024 record, when the increase was 19.77%. Global factors such as international prices and logistical restrictions are influencing the evolution of 2025.
The central challenge is to reduce dependence on agribusiness commodities, without losing the sector's strength. The rise of the automotive industry is a positive sign, but it requires more investment and technology.
Diversification toward markets such as India, Saudi Arabia, and Indonesia opens up expansion opportunities. However, it demands greater logistical capabilities and adaptation to new international regulations.
