
Córdoba: the value of livestock on the hoof falls, and this is reflected in the price of meat
In August, the prices of several cuts experienced a decrease of up to 5%
The livestock auction on Monday at the Rural de Jesús María once again showed a decrease in the value of the animals.
This phenomenon was reflected in some consumer meat cuts in Córdoba that also dropped in price. Among them, the round stands out, which decreased by 5% in August.

According to a report from the Córdoba Ombudsman's Office, the rump dropped by 4.66%, ground beef by 3.36%, ribs by 2.79%, and chicken by 2.53%.
Meanwhile, at the traditional auction of the Consignaciones Córdoba firm, both the steer and the calf were paid at a lower value than the previous week.

The calf weighing 100 to 150 kilograms (220 to 330 pounds) was paid at $3,900 per live kilogram, 0.6% below the previous auction.
The steer weighing 300 to 350 kilograms (660 to 770 pounds), the reference category for meat prices at the counters, was paid at $3,280 per kilogram, 2.5% less than last week.
A total of 810 head entered (400 fattened cattle and 410 feeder cattle).
