Minor: violations such as smoking while driving with a loss of 0 to 2 points. They carry a penalty of 20 to 100 UF. Up to $144,100.
Serious: penalties of up to $288,200 with a loss of 2 to 5 points. A violation of this type may be not having headlights on.
Very serious: running red lights, driving against traffic, or exceeding the speed limit, from 200 to 400 UF, with a loss of 5 to 20 points. Up to $576,000.
Maximum: destruction or removal of road infrastructure, falsification of documents and licenses, or maximum levels of blood alcohol: from 1,200 to 2,000 UF; and disqualification from driving and even criminal charges in some cases. Up to $2,882,000.
