According to information published in the Official Bulletin this Thursday, the amounts of fines from the Córdoba Road Police have increased again. The recent rise in the price of super gasoline in the province prompted the increases, as reported.
Traffic Law 8.560 establishes the use of Fixed Units (UF), which are equivalent to the lowest retail price of one liter of super gasoline.

According to the Federation of Fuel and Related Distributors of the Center (Fecac), the price of one liter of super gasoline as of April 5 was $1,336.
With these changes, driving while smoking, which is considered a minor offense, carries a penalty of up to $133,000.
Meanwhile, a serious offense such as not driving with headlights on can cost up to $267,000.
Exceeding the speed limit, an offense considered very serious, can result in a fine of up to $534,000.
The fine amounts from Córdoba Road Police
Minor fines. For minor offenses, drivers face penalties ranging from 20 to 100 UF (loss of 0 to 2 points). From now on, they range from $26,720 to $133,600. Example: driving while smoking.
Serious offenses. The range is from 100 to 200 UF (loss of 2 to 5 points), costing between $133,600 and $267,200. Example: not driving with headlights on.

Very serious. These range from 200 to 400 UF (loss of 5 to 20 points) and reach $534,400. Cases: running red lights, driving against traffic or exceeding the speed limit.
