The Córdoba Tourism Agency presented the Belgraniano Path project, an initiative that aims to highlight the legacy of Manuel Belgrano in the province through a historical-cultural circuit
The Córdoba Tourism Agency has launched the development of the Belgranian Path, an initiative aimed at rescuing and valuing the historical legacy of Manuel Belgrano in the province, transforming it into a new tourist product capable of generating development opportunities for emerging destinations and strengthening regional economies.
The project was presented during the first working meeting led by provincial authorities, which included mayors, community leaders, local representatives, and institutions linked to the towns that will be part of the historical route.
A new circuit to rescue Belgrano's legacy
The proposal is part of the national program "The Paths of Belgrano" and aims to identify, elevate, and promote historical sites related to the passage of the creator of the Flag through Córdoba territory.
The route will cover various towns where Manuel Belgrano left a mark during his time in the province and will seek to offer experiences that combine history, culture, and educational tourism.
Among the planned initiatives are:
Guided tourist circuits.
Cultural and recreational activities.
Thematic signage at the main historical sites.
Training for local hosts.
Implementation of a Belgranian Passport, which will encourage visitors to explore all participating towns.
Córdoba bets on the growth of emerging destinations
The president of the Córdoba Tourism Agency, Darío Capitani, emphasized that the project will expand the provincial tourist offer beyond traditional circuits.
"We are convinced that emerging destinations need tools that allow them to fully integrate into the Córdoba tourism industry. The Belgranian Path is a bet on the future because it values our history, strengthens the identity of each community, and generates new development opportunities for regional economies", he stated.
Joint work between the public and private sectors
Capitani also stated that tourism represents a strategic activity for generating employment and investment.
"We want each of these towns to find in this project an opportunity to showcase their heritage, tell their story, and become the protagonist of a new tourist experience in Córdoba", he noted.
Heritage, gastronomy, and educational tourism
The Belgranian Path will integrate different axes to offer a complete proposal to visitors.
In addition to historical heritage, the project will incorporate:
The cultural identity of each locality.
Regional gastronomy.
Artistic and cultural activities.
Educational tourism aimed at schools and institutions.
The goal is to consolidate a network of destinations that rescues the memory of Manuel Belgrano and contributes to the territorial development of different regions of Córdoba.
Joint work between the public and private sectors
The Córdoba Tourism Agency will continue developing the project alongside local governments, historians, educational institutions, and representatives of the private sector.
The next stages include surveying historical sites, developing content, planning circuits, and gradually implementing this new tourist product, which will seek to establish itself as an alternative for those who wish to learn about Argentine history while exploring different points of Córdoba territory.
