Córdoba: world leader in peanut exports thanks to national economic growth
Peanut exports reached US$1.19 billion in 2024, driven by the reduction in export duties
Argentina positioned itself as the world's largest peanut exporter during the last season, surpassing historic countries such as India and the United States. This achievement represents a 12% growth compared to 2023 and sets a record for the 2002-2024 period. The volume exported by Argentina accounts for 23% of the global total, showing the country's consolidation in the international market thanks to economic measures that stimulated the sector.
This sustained growth not only strengthens the national economy but also highlights the positive impact of current economic policies. The reduction of export duties favors the competitiveness and agricultural production of Argentina abroad.

Córdoba, productive and export epicenter that capitalizes on economic reforms
The province of Córdoba accounts for approximately 90% of the country's peanut production, also being the main planted area nationwide. In 2024, peanuts ranked as the fourth most exported product from the province, with the departments of Río Cuarto, General Roca, and Juárez Celman standing out.
More than 90% of exported Argentine peanuts originate from Córdoba. The Argentine Peanut Chamber emphasizes that local production is carried out under sustainable agricultural practices and with advanced technology. This productive dynamic also generates employment for around 12,000 people in 30 localities, representing a key regional social and economic benefit.
The "Maní de Córdoba" seal guarantees premium quality with rigorous international standards and unique attributes. This reinforces the product's position in demanding markets. It also reflects how economic conditions favor the expansion and consolidation of the local peanut sector.

Records in the 2025 season consolidate the sector's leadership and expansion
The 2025 season broke historical records in Argentina, with 530,000 hectares (1,309,000 acres) planted. This represents a 23.3% growth compared to the previous season, which anticipates an increase in total production of around 21.4%.
According to AAICI, estimated production will reach approximately 1.8 million tons. This increase in production further strengthens Argentina's position as the world's largest exporter. This is driven by a favorable economic context and the reduction of export duties implemented by the current government.
In addition to Córdoba, provinces such as Buenos Aires, La Pampa, Santa Fe, and San Luis also contribute to the sector's growth. This demonstrates a diversified and sustained development that responds to the opportunities offered by the current national economic and commercial framework.
