Less than a week after the severe hailstorm on January 1 in which one person died, this Tuesday the yellow alert returned to Córdoba due to possible severe storms.
From the Risk Management Secretariat of the Ministry of Security officials reported, based on reports from the National Meteorological Service (SMN) and the Hydrometeorological Observatory of Córdoba (OHMC), that "from the afternoon/evening of this Tuesday, January 6, and the early hours of Wednesday, January 7, the development of storms is expected in various sectors of the provincial territory, some locally severe".
Las autoridades instaron a la población a extremar medidas de prevención por una posible tormenta fuerte.
Officials added that these events could be associated with abundant rainfall in short periods of time, wind gusts, hail, and electrical activity.
For this reason, the authorities urged the population to take extreme preventive measures, avoiding outdoor activities during storms, circulation during critical hours, and staying away from river and stream channels.
