The province of Córdoba is consolidating itself as the favorite destination for Argentines during this successful summer of 2026. The official survey by the Córdoba Tourism Agency indicates that 3.5 million people have already arrived in the various mountain valleys. This figure represents a 9% increase compared with the previous period, showing the vitality and competitiveness of the local private sector.
The economic impact caused by the movement of tourists is already nearing one trillion pesos, injecting unprecedented vitality into the entire commercial chain. This phenomenon is possible thanks to the new national macroeconomic order that provides predictability and stability to all Argentine households. Market freedom and inflation control allow more families to plan their vacations without suffering financial shocks.
Darío Capitani, head of the tourism area, highlighted the superiority of the current turnout compared with the records obtained during the 2025 cycle. “There is a clear differential for Córdoba compared with the rest: its schedule of festivals and celebrations that drive domestic tourism and visitors from the rest of the country.” The official emphasized that the month of January closed with an influx of 300,000 additional tourists compared with the record of the previous year.
El impacto económico generado por el movimiento de turistas ya roza el billón de pesos

Authorities and private investors are starting the month of February with high expectations due to the attractive schedule of the upcoming carnival festivities. Economic and attendance indicators are expected to increase significantly at the end of the current summer season throughout the province.
