Córdoba: a man died after receiving fifteen gunshots in Villa Martínez
The victim was taken to the Emergency Hospital and died hours later; the police are searching for those responsible
A man from Córdoba died this Friday after receiving fifteen gunshots in the midst of an alleged fight in Villa Martínez, in the western area of the city. The incident occurred during the early morning hours and triggered a major police operation in the area.
The injured man was assisted by personnel from the 107 emergency service and was immediately transferred to the Hospital de Urgencias, where he remained hospitalized in critical condition. Hours later, the health center authorities confirmed his death.
At the scene of the crime, agents from the Córdoba Police found fifteen spent nine-millimeter shell casings. These were seized as part of the investigation.

Investigation led by the Judiciary
The case is in the hands of prosecutor Andrea Martín Aresti, head of the District 4 Prosecutor's Office, shift 1. So far, no arrests or charges have been made.
Judicial authorities are working to reconstruct what happened at the corner of Aviador Silvio Pettirossi and Llanquelen, where the violent sequence unfolded. Residents of the area provided information about possible movements prior to the attack.
According to the initial hypotheses, it was a confrontation between several people. The prosecutor's office is not ruling out any line of investigation and key forensic analyses are awaited.

Search for those responsible
The Police continue to conduct searches in the western sector of the Córdoba capital to find the alleged perpetrators. Investigators are seeking security camera footage that would allow them to identify those involved.
Judicial sources indicated that the identity of the deceased is still unknown. Forensic experts are working on formal identification and gathering witness statements.
The crime, which occurred in a highly conflictive neighborhood, once again exposes the need to strengthen security in Córdoba.
