Córdoba has defined a common framework for the use of cell phones in classrooms. The Ministry of Education sent a document in October to all schools, both public and private, with guidelines to be incorporated into coexistence agreements. The objective is to establish when and how devices can be used during the school day.
According to the official text, cell phones and other digital devices may only be used for educational purposes and under teacher authorization. Each school must adapt the rules to its own reality, while respecting the general guidelines. The ministry clarified that this is not a total ban, but rather a regulation of use within the classroom.
The authorities stated that the measure seeks to ensure an orderly educational environment and prevent distractions. They also emphasized that filming or recording without consent is expressly prohibited.

Prohibitions and sanctions
The document specifies that images, videos, or audio recordings of students, teachers, or school staff may not be recorded or distributed without authorization. For students, permission from responsible adults is also required. Each institution will apply sanctions according to its own coexistence agreement, following criteria of proportionality and contextualization.
The Director of Educational Well-being, Juan José Castellano, explained that the regulation will be supervised by the ministry's technical teams. "The rules are not left to the discretion of each school," the official clarified.
