Córdoba taken: drivers attacked, detainees with drugs, and neighborhoods out of control
Police operations revealed the abandonment of the capital city by Mayor Passerini
This Thursday morning, a large operation was carried out in the Pueyrredón neighborhood and nearby areas, led by the Córdoba Police. The procedures are related to attacks on drivers of apps such as Uber and Didi, as well as damage to private vehicles and buses.
The operation was conducted by personnel from the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations. The measure responds to a rise in crimes affecting daily security in the city.

Detainees, tactical weapons, and items linked to crime
So far, four people have been detained, one of whom had an outstanding arrest warrant. Tactical vests, drugs, and cash were also seized.
Among the seized items were bill counting machines, an indication of activities linked to organized crime. The presence of narcotics opens another line of investigation.

Authorities supervised the operation on site
The procedure was supervised by the general director of Criminal Investigations, Alberto Bietti, along with other provincial police authorities. The procedures will continue in the coming hours, as the corresponding judicial investigation progresses. More arrests and charges are expected in the coming days.
The case reveals a growing concern for the safety of those who work through transportation apps. Many drivers report assaults without an effective response.
The use of weapons, drugs, and intimidation tactics worsens the situation. The recurrence of these incidents forces a review of the role of law enforcement in the face of urban crime.
