Both men were arrested at the same residence where the body of the 21-year-old woman was found buried

The case of Brenda Torres shocked Córdoba after her dismembered body was found in different locations in the Chateau Carreras neighborhood. The head and torso were discovered buried in the backyard of a house where the limbs had already been found. That location, at 574 Horneros Street, became the center of the judicial investigation seeking to establish how she was murdered.

At that same residence, the police arrested Cristian Aranda, 38 years old, and Gustavo Lencina, 53, who has experience as a slaughterman. According to investigative sources, the cuts on the body suggest they were made by someone with expert knife skills. A cleaver was also seized at the scene and is now being examined by forensic experts.

Some residents stated that the detainees presented themselves as caretakers, but without legal authorization. Both were known to neighbors in the area, although they had no official ties to security work. That distrust was reinforced after they were arrested at the same site where the body was found.

A security camera made it possible to locate one of the suspects transporting packages on a motorcycle

A key clue was recorded by a police dome camera monitoring the Chateau Carreras area. The footage showed a man leaving the investigated residence on a 110cc motorcycle carrying packages. That person was followed to a gas station, where, after removing his helmet, a camera captured his face and enabled his identification.

The police investigation ruled out any connections between the suspects and drug trafficking. Initially, the hypothesis of a crime linked to a narco dispute was considered. However, the evidence gathered so far doesn't support that line, so the investigation is focusing on another possible motive.

The case is now in the hands of the District Family and Gender Violence Prosecutor's Office. This is a case with sensitive elements that now includes statements from those close to the victim. Investigators are trying to reconstruct the young woman's final hours, from when she was last seen alive to the discovery of her body.

Authorities believe Brenda died during a gathering where drugs were consumed

The main hypothesis is that Brenda was attacked during a gathering in which drugs were consumed. In that context, she was allegedly beaten to death, and her body was subsequently dismembered. According to forensic experts, the procedure for disposing of the body parts was meticulous and planned.

The young woman's family is seeking visibility and demanding greater media attention for the case. "My family is suffering because of my sister; we want justice and the media isn't paying attention to us," said Jesica, her sister. "I cry a lot and miss my sister; I just want justice," she added with pain.

Meanwhile, as the analysis of evidence continues and new statements are taken, the neighborhood remains in shock over what happened. The house where the searches were conducted remains closed, and the area is monitored by police patrols. The prosecutor's office is awaiting additional forensic reports before proceeding with further charges.
