On Tuesday afternoon, the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Núñez was the scene of a violent bank robbery that ended with the death of one of the criminals involved.
In recent hours, the audio of the 911 call made by the protagonist of the incident, a heroic retired police officer who defended himself with gunfire after being violently assaulted, was released: "One criminal down, as it should be," he stated during the call.
The incident began in the heart of the Microcentro, at the intersection of Corrientes and Reconquista, where a man had withdrawn a significant sum of money from a financial institution. His friend, identified as J. L. M., a former agent of the Argentine Federal Police, was with him.

At that moment, the former officer reacted immediately, drew his service weapon, and repelled the attack. As a result, one of the criminals was killed at the scene, while his accomplice managed to escape at high speed on the motorcycle.
