The victory secured Argentina's presence in the final stage, whose draw determined that in the quarterfinals it will face Germany. The German team recently defeated Japan 4-0 in Tokyo with authority, despite not having its best player, Alexander Zverev, who decided not to participate to prioritize his schedule. Its representatives were Struff, Hanfmann, Krawietz, and Puef, who replied decisively.

Although the record favors the national team (7 wins and 3 losses between 1939 and 2019), the last time they met was a convincing 3-0 victory for Germany in the 2019 group stage.
Beyond this, and with the hope of continuing to advance as the only non-European representative, Argentina will seek to make an impact in the Final 8 quarterfinals, to be held in Bologna, Italy, between November 18 and 23.
