The interim dictator executed 28 changes within the Bolivarian National Armed Force and completely renewed the command of the Strategic Defense Regions (REDI), consolidating a new military structure following Nicolás Maduro's departure from power
The interim president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, executed a wide restructuring of the high command of the Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB), with 28 changes in the main military positions of the country.
The decision involved a total renewal of the commanders of the Strategic Regions of Integral Defense (REDI), one of the operational pillars of the military institution, so that no regional chief appointed during Nicolás Maduro's regime remains in office.

The changes were formalized just 18 days after the so-called Operation Absolute Resolution, which ended Maduro's dictatorship and ushered in a new political stage led by Rodríguez. According to the information released, the reorganization was not an improvised measure, but part of a previously planned redesign to replace the officers who were exercising control over the main military zones of the country.
The REDI constitute the territorial structure with the greatest operational capacity within the Armed Force, as they coordinate military operations in each region of the country and have under their command the Zones of Integral Defense (ZODI). Therefore, the replacement of all their commanders represents one of the most significant moves made within the institution since the change of government.
The restructuring also consolidates the renewal of the high command initiated months ago with the replacement of the historic Minister of Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, and the appointment of a new military leadership. Since then, the commanders of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Bolivarian National Guard, Militia, and the Strategic Operational Command have been renewed, in addition to other key positions within the military structure.
The decision seeks to strengthen political and operational control over the Armed Forces during the transition process that Venezuela is undergoing. The new military leadership will play a central role in internal security tasks, institutional reorganization, and supporting civil authorities in the coming months.

So far, the regime has not reported any additional changes in the military structure, although the renewal of the high command and the REDI is considered the most profound transformation of the Bolivarian National Armed Force in over a decade.
With the departure of the last commanders appointed during Nicolás Maduro's administration, the military leadership is now completely aligned with the new political stage promoted by Delcy Rodríguez and the transitional authorities.
