Despite his connection with the club, Tevez ruled out being Boca's president in the future.
The Apache expressed his desire to continue being a coach and began organizing his tribute match at La Bombonera. He also talked about Boca's current situation and his relationship with Messi
Carlos Tevez spoke again after his departure from Independiente and surprised by revealing details about his future and the much-anticipated tribute match he plans to organize at La Bombonera.
In his interview on the program GolGana en Olga, the Apache addressed various topics, from his decision to stay out of Boca's politics to his ambitious farewell project, where he intends to bring together Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as main figures.

Regarding his institutional role at the club from La Ribera, he was blunt: "Being Boca's president is not on my mind. I'm not prepared, I'm a coach. They want to push me into a political position that I'm not going to take because I'm not prepared. You have to know your place."
The farewell match
About the event, he made it clear that he has a key conversation pending. "I have to sit down and talk with Román, everything is swirling in my head," assured the Boca idol with a laugh. He also stated that he is willing to arrange the meeting between the Rosario star and CR7: "We'll bring them together. I'll go get them myself."

He also hinted at some names that could be part of the dream farewell. "For goalkeepers, I'll put Van der Sar and Buffon. We'll bring Chiellini, Evra, Pirlo, Scholes, and Román will play," detailed the former forward, who excelled at clubs like Boca, Corinthians, West Ham, Manchester United, Manchester City, and Juventus, where he played with some of the mentioned legends.
His present and his view on the club he loves
Tevez also referred to his current situation, marked by his pause in coaching: "In the two experiences I had as a coach at Rosario Central and Independiente I wasn't comfortable with the people running the club. That's something one has to improve. The next step as a coach has to be different."

Then, when they talked about Boca, he expressed his point of view sincerely: "It's very difficult to comment from this side. For the fan, it's sad to see Boca not playing Libertadores and Sudamericana. It's tough. They play every Sunday."
He added a critique with a fan's tone: "It's not easy at all, for the people, to watch the Libertadores and Sudamericana draw on television, not seeing the team on Wednesdays and Thursdays and not playing Libertadores. I say it as a fan."
The native of Fuerte Apache also analyzed the team's moment and the media environment. "In the tournament, they remain first, they win and are praised, but they lose and are criticized because they don't play Libertadores. They'll want to destabilize the coach," he commented.
Despite his love for the club, he clarified that he doesn't see himself taking the reins in the short term and that he didn't nominate himself as Boca's coach "out of respect for Gago."

The National Team and his relationship with Messi
In his talk at Olga, Tevez also spoke about the current state of the national team. "One of the best National Teams without a doubt, but: why do we have to compare the National Teams?," he questioned, referring to comparisons with other world champion teams.
Meanwhile, the former forward celebrated the present of the Albiceleste: "It gives me satisfaction to watch this team play."

He also spoke fondly about his bond with Lionel. "They always wanted to create differences between Messi and me, and the truth is no, we never had problems. Playing with him is easy and difficult at the same time; he sees passes you don't see and leaves you offside," commented Apache.
He even revealed an intimate detail and a joke about his farewell match: "I have him saved as 'dwarf' and that I wouldn't let him take a penalty in his farewell match: 'If it's for points, let Leo take it, in my farewell, I will, ha'."
