Diego Leuco and Sofi Martínez coincided again on air last Sunday on La Peña de Morfi, on Telefe. The reunion generated anticipation because they separated in 2023, and although time has passed, sharing the screen still sparks reactions.
Leuco started the broadcast alone, as Carina Zampini took a few days off. Later, Sofi Martínez joined him. The greeting was warm: he welcomed her with a hug and told her she looked great. She admitted to feeling a bit nervous.
Amid laughter and comments, the host emphasized that the show promised delicious food, interesting conversations, artists, and good humor. He also joked that she came more for the guests than for him.
The moment was recorded and went viral. Several clips appeared showing the back-and-forth between the two journalists. After the reaction, Leuco spoke about the topic on Antes Que Nadie, on Luzu TV.
Diego Leuco's confession
The host acknowledged that he didn't feel entirely comfortable with the exposure. He explained that he usually doesn't share details of his private life and never imagined being part of something like this live.
“I wasn't nervous and felt comfortable, but I am the complete opposite of this. I don't share anything, I don't like to say anything... I never would have imagined doing something like this, but it happened,” he expressed.
He also talked about the embarrassment he feels watching the clips on social media and other programs. He said he prefers not to look too much at the reactions because that's when he starts to grasp the extent of what he exposed.
“What happens to me with this is that I feel a bit shy because of all the clips there are. I don't want to see too much of the reactions because that's when I start to feel embarrassed and begin to realize that I exposed a lot,” he stated.
Between embarrassment and enjoyment
Leuco clarified that, despite the discomfort, the experience had a positive side. He shared that the little he saw of the comments was positive and that there were also funny moments.
“The little I saw, because obviously it reaches you, is very positive and the reactions are very nice. I also saw many funny little things, which make me a bit embarrassed, but I enjoyed it,” he highlighted.
The journalist closed his reflection with a phrase that summarizes the contrast between embarrassment and enjoyment. He pointed out that sometimes one feels uncomfortable while also having a good time.
“Sometimes it happens that one feels embarrassed about something, but still has a good time. I feel like I was dying of embarrassment because I think it's the first time in my life that I'm not in a place in a program 100% comfortable and under my control,” he concluded.
The reunion on La Peña de Morfi showed that, despite the separation, both were able to share the air with a certain naturalness. At the same time, it highlighted that for Leuco, it still feels strange to expose himself in that way.
The conversation on Antes Que Nadie allowed for firsthand insight into how he experienced the moment. Without dramatizing, the host made it clear that the exposure generated real embarrassment, although he also acknowledged that he enjoyed the experience.
