'I didn't forgive her immediately': Nico Vázquez spoke about Gimena Accardi

On Tuesday morning, Gimena Accardi surprised the public by admitting that she had been unfaithful to Nicolás Vázquez.She did so on her streaming show on Olga, one month after both announced their separation and denied the existence of third parties involved.

The actress admitted her mistake amid rumors that initially pointed to an alleged betrayal on his part.  Meanwhile, Vázquez decided to face the press at the door of the theater where he works to give his version of the events.

"What she said is what happened. I'm saddened by the situation, not only because of what she went through in the morning, but also because it tarnished an 18-year relationship that was very beautiful," the actor said, visibly moved.

The actor said that he didn't react immediately when he found out about the infidelity: "I didn't forgive her as soon as I found out, but I did after some time, when I needed to talk to her." However, he was categorical in ruling out any possibility of going back: "There's no chance we'll get back together. Today I even went to pick up things from my house."

Regarding the current state of their relationship, he explained that they maintain a cordial relationship: "She'll work in my play until it ends. At some point I'll call her again, but only for work-related matters."

Despite the pain, Vázquez also highlighted the years they shared: "This doesn't define her. What defines her are 18 years of love, a strong family, with pets, friends, shared work, and a lot of personal growth."

The actor also clarified that his ex's statement was not agreed upon with him. "I understand her need to clear up doubts and clarify who was not involved. I don't like seeing her in that position, but it speaks very well of her. If that gives her more peace of mind, it's already personal," he explained.

Finally, he denied that Andrés Gil was involved in the breakup and emphasized that he will continue to support his ex-partner during this difficult time.

The confession by Gimena Accardi and Nico Vázquez's response marked a definitive break in one of the most beloved couples in show business. Although both agreed to maintain their relationship with respect, the statements made it clear that there will be no reconciliation.
