How much will domestic workers earn in June 2025

Since there has not been a parity agreement so far, Resolution 1/2025 remains in effect

Domestic workers across the country will continue to receive the same salary they earned in June, as no collective bargaining agreement has been reached so far. According to information provided by the National Government, Resolution 1/2025 remains in effect, which sets the minimum amounts to be received during this month.

This means that employers must pay in June the same amounts currently in effect, in addition to including the first half-year bonus of the year, the amount of which is equivalent to 50% of the highest salary received between January and June. The legal deadline for payment is June 30, although there is the possibility of paying it up to four business days later.

Salaries for domestic workers will remain as follows: for those who work fewer than 24 hours per week, the hourly wage will be $2863 with live-out and $3089 with live-in. Meanwhile, workers who are hired under a monthly scheme will receive $351,233 if they have live-out arrangements and $390,567 with live-in.

It should be noted that those domestic workers who perform their duties in certain provinces in the south of the country will receive an additional 30% on the established minimum wage. This "unfavorable zone" supplement applies in La Pampa, Río Negro, Chubut, Neuquén, Santa Cruz, Tierra del Fuego, Partido de Patagones, and the South Atlantic Islands.

This way, in these locations, salary amounts will undergo an automatic adjustment aimed at balancing the cost of living and working conditions in the Patagonian regions and special zones.

Meanwhile, the domestic workers sector continues to await new collective bargaining negotiations that would allow salaries to be updated in line with inflation and the current economic reality. Although there are no specific dates known for the start of negotiations, unions in the sector have already expressed their intention to sit at the table to agree on improvements that take into account the constant rise in prices and the impact on workers' incomes.

For now, the current amounts will remain the same. Employers must take this information into account to correctly process June salaries, including the corresponding half-year bonus. In case of doubts or questions, they may contact the National Commission for Work in Private Homes (CNTCP) or consult the official publications of the Ministry of Labor.

The lack of an updated collective bargaining agreement creates uncertainty, but the sector's expectation is that an agreement will be reached in the coming weeks to improve the salary conditions of domestic workers throughout the country.
