Donald Trump gave Hamas an ultimatum: It has until Sunday to accept the peace plan

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, announced this Friday that the terrorist group Hamas has until next Sunday at 6:00 p.m., Washington DC time, to accept the peace plan proposed for the Gaza Strip; otherwise, "a hell like never before seen will be unleashed" against the Palestinian group.

"Hamas has been a ruthless and violent threat for many years in the Middle East. They have murdered (and made lives unbearably miserable), culminating in the OCTOBER 7 MASSACRE in Israel: babies, women, children, the elderly, and many young people, men and women, boys and girls, preparing to celebrate their future life together. As retaliation for the October 7 attack on civilization, more than 25,000 'soldiers' of Hamas have already been killed," Trump began in his message on the Truth Social platform.

"Most of the others are surrounded and MILITARILY TRAPPED, waiting for me to give the order 'GO AHEAD' so their lives can be quickly extinguished. As for the rest, we know where they are and who they are, and they will be hunted down and killed," he added.

He continued: "I ask that all innocent Palestinians immediately leave this area of potential future death for safer areas of Gaza. Everyone will be well cared for by those waiting to help. Fortunately for Hamas, however, they'll have one last chance! The great, powerful, and wealthy nations of the Middle East and surrounding areas, together with the United States, have agreed, with Israel's signature, to peace in the Middle East, after 3,000 years."

Additionally, Trump stated that "THIS AGREEMENT ALSO SPARES THE LIVES OF ALL REMAINING HAMAS FIGHTERS. The details of the document are known worldwide, and it's a great deal for EVERYONE! One way or another, we'll have peace in the Middle East."

He concluded: "Violence and bloodshed will cease. RELEASE ALL HOSTAGES, INCLUDING THE BODIES OF THE DEAD, NOW! An agreement must be reached with Hamas before Sunday at six (6) p.m., Washington, D.C. time. All countries have signed! If this LAST CHANCE agreement is not reached, a hell like never before seen will be unleashed against Hamas. THERE WILL BE PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER."

Trump's peace plan

Last Wednesday, President Trump presented a 20-point document aimed at ending the war in Gaza and assured that, if the parties accept it, the conflict "will end immediately." The announcement included confirmation that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had given his approval to the plan. 

The text proposes an immediate ceasefire, the release of the hostages within 72 hours, the simultaneous release of Palestinian prisoners, the disarmament of Hamas, and a comprehensive reconstruction of the Strip under an international authority headed by a body led by Trump. Netanyahu supported the initiative and warned that, if Hamas rejects the agreement, Israel will have full support from Washington to continue the offensive.

The Washington plan combines military, humanitarian, and political measures: it proposes to transform Gaza into a "deradicalized and terrorism-free zone", rebuild it for the benefit of its population, and establish a technocratic transitional government.

Additionally, the document incorporates economic incentives, the creation of a special development zone, and a path toward Palestinian self-determination conditioned on internal reforms of the Palestinian National Authority.
