This country described the flotilla heading to Gaza as a 'deliberate and unnecessary provocation' and defended the peace plan
The United States maintained that the deployment of the so-called Global Sumud Flotilla, which set out for the Gaza Strip with activists on board and was intercepted by Israel, was a "deliberate and unnecessary provocation."
Global Samud Flotilla rumbo a Gaza
A State Department spokesperson indicated that the presence of American citizens on the ships is being monitored, and assured that their safety is the government's priority. At the same time, he insisted that the flotilla's action doesn't contribute to resolving the conflict and only adds tension in a region already affected by war.
He also emphasized that the path out of the war in Gaza lies through diplomatic means: the White House reaffirmed that the peace plan promoted by Donald Trump is the only sustainable solution to end the conflict.
Official reaction from Israel
The Israeli government replied to the flotilla by labeling it a violation of the legal blockade it keeps over Gaza. It reported that the passengers will be deported to Europe, assuring that they are "safe and in good health".
According to the Jerusalem Post, none of the 40 vessels carried effective humanitarian aid, which reinforces the view that the flotilla operated with political and propaganda purposes rather than a humanitarian objective.

Protests around the world and Argentina's position
The interception of the Sumud flotilla triggered demonstrations in various cities.
In Barcelona, more than 15,000 people marched with slogans such as "Gaza is not alone" and "Boycott Israel," facing clashes with the police.
In Buenos Aires, pro-Palestinian groups mobilized against the Israeli intervention and in support of the flotilla.
In Italy, unions called a general strike in solidarity with Gaza, in addition to protests in Rome and Milan.
Protestas pro-palestina
These mobilizations show how the flotilla is not only a maritime act, but a catalyst for the pro-Palestinian political agenda on a global scale, which seeks to establish the narrative of Israel as the aggressor and cover up the role of the terrorist group Hamas in the conflict.
However, while progressive sectors around the world justify this type of maneuver, Javier Milei's government keeps firm support for Israel and the West in its fight against terrorism. Washington's condemnation of the flotilla and Israel's reaction align Argentina with the democratic bloc, in opposition to the ideological activism that seeks to weaken security in the Middle East.
