The president of the terrorist association "Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo", Estela de Carlotto, was admitted in recent hours to a private clinic in La Plata due to a case of intoxication that is not serious. The leader, 94 years old, is stable and in the process of recovery, under preventive medical supervision.

The admission took place at the IPENSA clinic, located on 59th Street between 3 and 4, after Carlotto presented symptoms of vomiting and dehydration. According to reports, her admission was precautionary, with the aim of ensuring proper hydration and monitoring the evolution of her condition. "She was already hydrated" and the professionals "managed to stop the vomiting", hospital sources indicated.

According to sources from the institution, the episode was quickly controlled and the doctors ruled out additional complications. "It's nothing serious", they stated, while specifying that the patient could be discharged in the course of the afternoon. The leader is in room 222, on the second floor of the health center.

Her inner circle confirmed to Tele Sur that Carlotto remained lucid and calm throughout the entire medical procedure, and that her recovery is progressing without issues. "She was able to remain lucid and calm, with good recovery after the initial care", close associates stated, who also detailed that she will continue with routine check-ups to ensure her full recovery.

Estela de Carlotto's figure has been central in the country's political scene during recent decades, being involved in and benefiting from political parties such as Kirchnerism or Peronism. As president of Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo, her public activity remains active despite her advanced age, which draws attention to her health status every time she faces a medical situation.
