A former GH contestant surprised everyone by joining Cuestión de Peso: who is it?
The man revealed all the details about his struggle with obesity from a very young age
Ariel Ansaldo, better known as "Big Ari" and remembered for his time on Gran Hermano, became one of the new participants in Cuestión de peso.
His addition to the Eltrece show, hosted by Mario Massaccesi, caused an immediate response due to his characteristic charisma and the personal confessions he shared during his first appearance.
At 48 years old and with an initial weight of 149.4 kilograms (329 pounds), the former housemate joined the program with a firm decision to improve his health and transform his lifestyle.
"The time has come to face a big change and sacrifice. I want to improve my body, my health, and, why not, my life," he stated in front of the cameras, acknowledging that it was not easy to show vulnerability and talk about his being overweight.

Massaccesi humorously introduced him as "the Brad Pitt of Cuestión de peso," to which Ariel replied, laughing: "I used to be handsome, I was like Brad Pitt. Blond, long hair, great physique, charisma... Now I still attract attention, but with about 20 or 30 extra kilos (44 or 66 pounds)."
During the broadcast, Ariel said that his main weakness is flour-based foods: "Pizza is my downfall, a crispy mozzarella or a stuffed fugazzetta. Also empanadas. I'm more into savory than sweet."
Among his most striking habits, he confessed that every night he drinks a liter of cold milk straight from the bottle, a habit he has maintained for years and that caused laughter in the studio. He even revealed that he drank from a baby bottle until he was 12 years old, joking that it was due to breastfeeding campaigns during his childhood.

The specialist Sergio Verón nicknamed him "a calf" and the host joked about giving him a baby bottle, in a relaxed atmosphere that marked his debut. However, Ariel also spoke sincerely about the physical changes that bother him the most: "I have an adipose pubis, and my butt... I used to have a nice little butt, now it has sagged and I have some dimples of cellulite."
Before the pandemic, Ariel maintained a more stable weight, between 115 and 120 kilograms (254 and 265 pounds), and practiced sports such as snowboarding and jogging. However, the isolation completely changed his habits: he began to eat almost exclusively at night and to snack in the early morning, which triggered his weight gain.
