A family drug gang was dismantled in La Calera: three arrested

The procedure was carried out by Córdoba's FPA. Narcotics, money, and other items were seized

The Public Prosecutor's Office reported an operation in La Calera, in the interior of Córdoba, which resulted in the arrest of three people for drug trafficking. The operation was carried out this Saturday by the Anti-Narcotics Police Force at a residence in the El Cenizal neighborhood. The procedure made it possible to dismantle a gang composed of members of the same family.

The detainees were a 49-year-old woman, a 36-year-old man, and his 21-year-old son, who lived at the raided residence. The operation took place a few blocks from Club Deportivo Calera Central. The Local Guard participated in the external perimeter to reinforce security in the area.

The police intervention was the result of a previous investigation that managed to locate the active point of sale. The residence served as a base of operations for the sale of narcotics. The FPA secured the closure of the location after making the arrests.

Drugs, money, and detected sales method

During the raid, several doses of cocaine and marijuana ready for sale were seized. $1,853,000 in cash and items related to the packaging of substances were also found. After the operation, the drug sales point at the residence was shut down.

According to the Anti-Narcotics Prosecutor's Office, the gang operated under a dual method: direct sales from the house and street distribution. The activity was sustained 24 hours a day, which caused suspicious movements in the area.

By order of the Second Shift Anti-Narcotics Prosecutor's Office, the three detainees were transferred to judicial headquarters. They are charged with an alleged violation of National Narcotics Law No. 23,737, while the investigation continues.
