The measure was ordered by Criminal, Misdemeanor, and Offenses Court No. 4 of the City of Buenos Aires, at the request of the Specialized Gambling Prosecutor's Office, headed by Prosecutor Juan Rozas.
According to the court file, Joaco allegedly took advantage of his massive reach through platforms such as Twitch, Instagram, and YouTube to promote a virtual betting house without a license in Argentina.

The streamer allegedly advertised the website, encouraged his followers to register, and offered financial incentives such as promotions or discount codes, with the aim of encouraging young users to participate in an illegal system.
One of the most relevant aspects of the case is that the influencer had already been previously warned by the courts. In fact, he was formally questioned on two occasions, in November 2024 and in April 2025, when he was notified not only of the charges but also of the explicit prohibition against continuing with such actions.
However, according to the prosecutor's office, López allegedly repeated the conduct, which reinforces the hypothesis of direct intent, that is, a conscious intention to break the law. This point is considered crucial to support a potential criminal charge with greater legal weight.

Messages, posts, and advertising campaigns shared by the streamer on social media were also reportedly reviewed.
The main objective of the procedure was to consolidate digital evidence showing the organization, promotion, and possible financial benefit of the accused from these activities. In this regard, investigators seek to determine whether López acted merely as a content disseminator or also participated actively in the administration or economic exploitation of the online casino in question.
