After many rumors and uncertainty, it was finally confirmed that Lautaro Martínez will not play the double date of the South American Qualifiers due to an injury. The player was struggling with his injury, and the National Team ended up confirming his definitive absence.

The official accounts of the Argentine team announced that the Inter player will not be able to be present in the matches against Uruguay at the Centenario in Montevideo and Brazil at the Monumental in Núñez due to a "muscle injury in the left lower hamstring".

The Inter Milan forward had been dealing with this issue since the last matches with his team and, in fact, missed the return leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Feyenoord from the Netherlands.  However, his participation in Sunday's match against Atalanta, for Serie A, made it seem like he had overcome the discomfort.
