The AMBA started this Monday, June 1 with typical autumn conditions: high humidity, the presence of fog in various areas, and mostly overcast skies. After the violet warning issued by the SMN over the weekend, the phenomenon began to lose intensity, although there are still areas with reduced visibility during the early hours of the day.
According to the updated forecast, no rain is expected for the City of Buenos Aires or the Greater Buenos Aires area. The temperature will range between a minimum of 9°C and a maximum of 16°C, with light winds predominantly from the east.

What happened with the fog alert and which areas were affected
The violet warning issued by the National Meteorological Service reached a large part of the center and northeast of the country on Sunday. The affected provinces included Buenos Aires, Entre Ríos, Santa Fe, Corrientes, Chaco, Formosa, La Pampa, parts of Córdoba, and northern Río Negro.
The agency warned about the presence of persistent fog and fog banks capable of significantly reducing visibility, especially during the early morning and the first hours of the day.
This type of phenomenon occurs when the air close to the ground reaches the dew point and humidity condenses into small suspended droplets. Low temperatures, weak winds, and high humidity favor its formation.

How the weather will be in the AMBA this Monday
According to the official forecast from the SMN, the day will develop with mostly cloudy skies and no chance of precipitation.
The expected temperatures for this Monday will range between 9°C and 16°C. The winds will continue to be light and will contribute to a slow improvement in visibility as the day progresses.

Although the fog no longer presents the intensity observed on Sunday, isolated fog banks could still be recorded in access points, roads, and suburban areas during the early hours.
Extended forecast from the SMN for the week in Buenos Aires
The meteorological outlook shows a stable week, with few thermal variations and no significant rain for the AMBA.
Tuesday, June 2: minimum of 10°C and maximum of 15°C, with mostly cloudy skies.
Wednesday, June 3: temperatures between 12°C and 17°C, with persistent cloudiness.
