For Flavio Azzaro, a return of Rodrigo De Paul to Racing is possible today.

The journalist stated that the midfielder would listen to a proposal from Academia, but everything depends on his family and Inter Miami's interest

In his final year of contract at Atlético de Madrid, Rodrigo De Paul hasn't managed to make progress in negotiations for a renewal, so the club is already considering his departure for a figure close to 15 million euros. Meanwhile, Inter Miami, led by Lionel Messi, has already started formal negotiations and has even made a concrete offer as part of a broader plan to retain the Argentine in MLS.

In this context, the midfielder's future could take an unexpected turn. On the CEF program on AZZ, Flavio Azzaro revealed that the World Cup-winning midfielder would be open to returning to Racing if the club approaches him and if it doesn't affect his personal life.

"De Paul has decided that if Racing approaches him, he'll listen to Racing, but only if it goes hand in hand with what we're saying, with his family project," Azzaro explained.

The journalist also detailed that continuity at Atlético de Madrid depends on the contract he's offered: "For me, the situation at Atlético de Madrid depends on the number of years they're offering him in the contract. If they don't offer him the number of years he wants, it's going to be difficult for it to be Atlético de Madrid. Atlético de Madrid doesn't look favorably on signing him to a contract for so many years given De Paul's age."

However, one of the obstacles to his return to Academia would be Messi's request for him to play at Inter Miami. "The Inter Miami situation was a direct call from Messi for him to go play at Inter. Messi's request really weighs on De Paul, Inter is a lot of money," he commented.

Despite this, Azzaro surprised by admitting that today a return to Argentine soccer no longer seems far-fetched: "I see it as possible, I don't see it as impossible like I did a couple of days ago for De Paul to come to Racing. Today I see it as possible."

Thus, between emotional factors, financial considerations, and concrete offers, De Paul's future remains open and could be getting closer to Avellaneda.
