Joel Ojeda, remembered for his participation in Gran Hermano 2023 (Telefe), is going through one of the most difficult moments of his life. Through his social media, the young flight attendant decided to open his heart and share with his followers the delicate situation his father is facing, as he is suffering from prostate cancer and remains hospitalized in critical condition.
In an emotional video posted on Instagram, Joel explained that his 78-year-old father (172 pounds, 78 years old) is hospitalized at the Hospital de Trauma de Grand Bourg, in the town of Polvorines, where he has been receiving treatment for four years. However, in recent weeks his condition has worsened alarmingly: "My dad has been fighting prostate cancer for a year, but now, with the arrival of the cold, he started coughing a lot and developed pneumonia," he recounted, his voice breaking.
Joel detalló que su padre debió ser hospitalizado de urgencia
The situation is delicate. Joel detailed that his father had to be hospitalized urgently and that, at first, he was so affected that he could not even speak. "He couldn't answer me. We brought him here and, thank God, they managed to stabilize him a bit. Fortunately, he is now improving and getting a little better every day," he said with relief.
The former Gran Hermano participant also wanted to be transparent and explained that, in addition to cancer and pneumonia, his father has a urinary infection and uses a catheter, which has further complicated his overall condition. "Those two infections make the situation more difficult. My dad is elderly, he is 78 years old (172 pounds, 78 years old), and that works against him," he added.
In his message, Joel appeared hopeful and asked his community to send good energy for his father's recovery. "I don't really like to share these things, but I wanted you to know why I've been absent. I need you to send a lot of positive energy, please," he said, visibly moved.
Joel se mostró esperanzado y le pidió a su comunidad que le envíen buenas energías para la recuperación de su padre.
He also made a special request to those who want to help by sharing recommendations or experiences that have been useful in similar cases. "I'm going to leave a question box here. If anyone has gone through something like this, if you know of any treatment that works, or if there is a pulmonology specialist who wants to write to me, everything you tell me is welcome. I'm going to read everything and take notes to help my dad," the young man concluded, grateful for the support received.
Joel Ojeda ended his message with a phrase full of hope that moved everyone: "I'm sure my dad is strong and that we're going to get through this. I need him to be well so he can be with me playing truco on Fridays again. Thank you all for your affection."
