Formula 1: Colapinto will travel to Miami and will be the reserve driver in the next GP
The Argentine driver will take Paul Aron's place and will be present at the sixth round of the season
Alpine continues to struggle to find its way in this 2025 Formula 1 season, however, despite having a poor performance in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, there is good news, at least for its Argentine fans: Franco Colapinto will be present at the Miami GP.

The Argentine driver, who accompanied the team in the last two races from the base in Enstone, will rejoin the team for the next event on the calendar, scheduled from May 2 to 4 in the United States.
For the moment, it is not defined what Colapinto's role will be in that race. After another poor performance by Jack Doohan in Saudi Arabia, where he finished in 17th out of 18, his continuity within the team is uncertain.
In this context, a meeting is expected to take place in the coming days between the French team's management and Colapinto's entourage to define the steps to follow in the upcoming races.
Beyond this, it is rumored that in the contract of the native of Pilar there is a clause that guarantees him to race at some point during the year. Additionally, the presence of several Argentine sponsors on American soil could lead Alpine to make him a starter for commercial and economic reasons.
Doohan's reflection after a difficult race
Once the competition at the Jeddah circuit was over, Jack Doohan shared his analysis and did not hide his frustration. "It was a tough day. The first stint wasn't that bad. It wasn't enough to overtake Nico. The strategy was a bit adventurous, with many laps to do on the hard tire," he expressed in an interview with F1TV.
"We need to make simpler strategies and not put so much pressure on ourselves. These are my most challenging days in F1," Doohan added.
