In the lead-up to the United States Grand Prix, Franco Colapinto was one of the three drivers chosen by Formula 1 to participate in the traditional press conference. The Argentine, who is living his first full season in the top category, replied with maturity and composure when he was asked about his future and the possibility of continuing in 2026.
"In order for me to be confirmed for 2026, I have to keep working and growing," Colapinto said, although he immediately shifted the focus to the collective work within the team. "We're all pushing together and motivation is high. I'm sure next year it will be important to maintain this attitude, and I trust that we'll have a fast car," added the Alpine driver.
The Buenos Aires native also referred to the progress the team has shown in recent races, where he managed to establish himself and compete on equal terms with his teammate Pierre Gasly. "Since the summer break until today, I have found some consistency with the car, which was very unpredictable for me," he acknowledged.

Although he highlighted the improvements of the single-seater, Colapinto was realistic in admitting that there is still much to be done: "We've taken a step forward, but we know we're not at the level we'd like. We're trying to understand our problems, but we arrive at places where we could have certain advantages and we're ready to seize the opportunities."
