Franco Colapinto's father stated that even the F1 owners want him to race.
Aníbal Colapinto pointed at Alpine for not letting him compete yet this season
Aníbal Colapinto, Franco's father, assured that Formula 1 leaders are also eager to see the young Argentine driver, who currently serves as a reserve at Alpine, compete this season.
"This kid came to change Formula 1, a journalist told me the other day, and even the Formula 1 owners themselves say it can't be that this kid isn't in Formula 1," he stated.

He also highlighted Franco's authenticity as one of his distinguishing traits: "It's because of what you say, because he's laid-back, he says what he feels, even if he's scolded he says it anyway. He is himself and will continue to be that way all his life," he said in a conversation with Clarín.
Finally, he expressed his pride in the path his son has taken from his adolescence to reaching the elite of motorsport: "I let him fly solo already at 14 years old. At that time I was very behind him, now he manages on his own, he's fine, he turned out to be a great kid, not only in sports but as a person. All my children, Franco, Martina, and Antonella. If there's something I can't complain about, it's the three children I have."
Colapinto's Current Situation and His Impact on F1
Franco Colapinto's commitment to motorsport is undeniable. From his debut in Formula 2 to his participation in the last nine races of the 2024 season in the top category with Williams, the driver from Buenos Aires has made his talent clear. However, his future in the top category is still uncertain.

Despite his outstanding previous season, Franco Colapinto didn't manage to secure a seat as a main driver in Formula 1. He currently serves as a reserve driver at Alpine, where the ones representing the team on the track are Pierre Gasly and Jack Doohan.
His arrival in the world of Formula 1 caused a notable increase in interest in the category in Argentina. His presence in international motorsport sparked a renewed fervor for single-seater racing, beyond the traditional enthusiasm for Turismo Competición 2000 (TC 2000).
