The governor of Entre Ríos, Rogelio Frigerio, replied to those who questioned the fiscal policy of his administration and denied that taxes haven't been reduced in the province. Through his account on the social network X, the governor highlighted the widespread reduction of taxes and the elimination of more than 100 fees, while reaffirming the productive focus of his government.
"Some misinformed people claimed that we hadn't reduced taxes in Entre Ríos. False," wrote Frigerio, citing a response from the artificial intelligence Grok which, although it validated the measures, according to the governor "fell short."
Real reductions and cuts in political spending
Frigerio stated that in a context of severe budgetary restrictions—with revenues similar to those during the pandemic but with greater responsibilities—an effective reduction in the tax burden was achieved. "We reduced all taxes in real terms compared to inflation," he emphasized.
He also stressed that more than 100 provincial fees were eliminated—half of the total existing ones—with the aim of reducing bureaucracy and providing relief to taxpayers. He also mentioned the reduction or elimination of Gross Income and Stamp Tax rates for key sectors of the provincial economy, and promised that this trend will continue.
