Galaxy Z Flip 7: the first images of the new foldable with a giant screen
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 will arrive with a large external display and a slimmer design to enhance the experience
Galaxy Unpacked is coming on July 9, and Samsung already has everything ready to revolutionize the world of foldables. Among the main attractions, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 promises to be one of the stars thanks to its renewed external display.
This new model will bring significant improvements compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 6, and aims to win over those seeking a foldable that combines style and functionality.

Samsung is preparing a giant external display
A leaked video on X showed what will be the big innovation: an external display that covers almost the entire back of the device. This includes the area where the cameras and flash are located, although that area is not functional.
This display, which will be larger and have slimmer bezels, will allow users to use widgets and shortcuts without opening the phone. This way, the experience with the external display comes very close to that of a traditional smartphone.
What improvements does this new display bring?
- Interactive widgets: access to features such as alarm and voice recorder.
- External home screen: ability to navigate apps directly.
- Optimized viewing: the clock will be placed in a visible spot that was previously unused.

Thinner and lighter design
In addition to the display, Samsung managed to reduce the thickness of the phone. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be 0.8 mm thinner when closed and 0.4 mm less when open, compared to the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
This improves comfort and portability, two key aspects for those seeking a practical and stylish foldable.
