The founder and CEO of Mercado Libre, Marcos Galperin, has once again publicly expressed his closeness to the libertarian movement. This time, the businessman reposted on X (formerly Twitter) a post by Diego Santilli, the leading candidate for national deputy for La Libertad Avanza in the province of Buenos Aires.

In the shared message, Santilli compared an image of the recent meeting between Donald Trump and Javier Milei at the White House with another photograph of Jorge Taiana, former Argentine foreign minister and current head of the Kirchnerist list, alongside the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.
"It has never been so easy to choose on October 26," wrote Santilli below the montage, which was shared while Milei and Trump were having a working lunch in Washington.

The photo featuring Taiana and Maduro dates back to 2009, when both were serving as foreign ministers in their respective governments.
Galperin, a major critic of Kirchnerism
The businessman's gesture is not surprising. Galperin has been openly critical of Peronism and state interventionism, and on several occasions has expressed his support for Javier Milei's government.

Several days ago, he replied ironically to an old comment by former Secretary of Commerce Guillermo Moreno, who a year ago had described Mercado Libre as "a smoke and mirrors business."
"Fortunately, Peronism in Argentina has been modernizing and understands where things are going... The journalist as well, an enlightened one in his reaction capacity...," Galperin replied on X, accompanied by emojis and a sarcastic tone.

It was not the first time that Marcos Galperin has shared content related to figures from La Libertad Avanza. At the end of August, he reposted a message from libertarian activist Fran Casaretto, who described the scandal over the audios involving officials from the National Disability Agency (Andis) in alleged bribery schemes as an "absurd setup."
This way, the businessman reinforces his favorable position toward the economic freedom and market openness model promoted by the current government, and his rejection of the populist and anti-business rhetoric associated with Kirchnerism.
