Garrahan Hospital will increase the salary for residents and will dismiss the 'ñoquis.'

They announced that they are moving forward with a reorganization process aimed at optimizing the use of public resources

In a context of structural reforms driven by the Government of Javier Milei, Hospital Garrahan announced that it is moving forward with a reorganization process aimed at optimizing the use of public resources, eliminating historical irregularities, improving residents' salaries, and ensuring better care for thousands of children.

As part of this transformation, the hospital authorities have begun implementing a series of measures designed to make management more transparent and to elevate the status of medical work.

In line with the principles of order and efficiency promoted by President Javier Milei, Garrahan has launched a comprehensive audit of its internal structure, identifying and correcting budget deviations and expenses that were not intended to strengthen pediatric care.

Institutional document from the Garrahan Pediatric Hospital describing a transformation process focused on order, efficiency, and merit recognition, detailing measures such as resource auditing, implementation of biometric attendance control, and salary increases for residents, with the goal of eliminating budget deviations and improving hospital infrastructure.

The announced measures

One of the most significant decisions is the implementation of a biometric attendance control system, which took effect on June 1. This tool makes it possible to detect unjustified absences and ensures that staff fulfill their duties, thereby guaranteeing a fairer and more professional work environment.

With this measure, the hospital seeks to eradicate practices that for years allowed the presence of “ñoquis” appointed by Kirchnerism who did not perform actual duties, to the detriment of those who maintained care with commitment and dedication.

With the optimization of resources, a substantial increase will be granted to the hospital's residents, who will begin to receive monthly incomes close to $1,300,000 starting July 1. Nearly 80% of this increase takes effect tomorrow.

This improvement is part of a budget plan aimed at rewarding dedication and merit, while dismissing those who do not work. This is a clear signal that, in this new phase, those who fulfill their roles will receive the recognition they deserve.

The restructuring plan also includes infrastructure improvements, expansion of pediatric beds, and acquisition of state-of-the-art equipment. With these advances, Garrahan reaffirms its role as a leading hospital at both the national and regional levels.

The hospital's management emphasizes that every peso of the budget must serve children's health and the staff who truly work to guarantee it. In this context, the hospital is moving toward a modern management model based on responsibility, effort, and commitment to public resources.
