Gimena Accardi spoke about Mercedes Oviedo, the 'third party' in their breakup

The actress denied any conflict with Nicolás Vázquez's co-star

At the beginning of July, Gimena Accardi and Nicolás Vázquez publicly confirmed their separation after 18 years together.

While the actress was traveling to Europe, rumors began to circulate linking the actor to Mercedes Oviedo, his co-star in the play Rocky.

Amid the speculation, both Vázquez and Oviedo denied any kind of romantic involvement.

However, until now Accardi's statement was not known, as she decided to speak out and dispel rumors.

In a conversation with Puro Show (eltrece), the actress was clear: "She and Dai (referring to Daiana) are the best, wonderful. They're Nico's work colleagues and also friends. Both are spectacular, very nice, and beautiful."

Accardi revealed that, when the scandal gained traction in the media, she contacted both of them directly to reassure them. "We know the real story and they're the best. Everything is really more than fine," she assured.

Their current work situation and relationship with Vázquez

Far from distancing herself from their joint projects, Gimena confirmed that the play she stars in with Andrés Gil, directed by Vázquez, will remain on the bill.

"In August we're going on tour and next weekend we're in Córdoba. Everything continues to go very well and of course Nico remains as director," she stated.

When asked how they're navigating this new stage, the actress clarified that they maintain constant communication: "We're in contact all the time, we never lost touch. Now we're reorganizing these 18 years of life together."

Regarding her current romantic situation, Accardi joked: "I don't even know what being single is. I'm going out with friends, I go to the theater, and I keep myself busy with plans. There are no candidates, I'm not looking for anything, everything is closed, literally everything is closed," she said.

Despite the separation, the actress surprised everyone by confirming that, for now, they don't plan to get divorced. "It's a topic we haven't even discussed. We're not in a hurry and, since we both know how we are, we're not going to start thinking about that now because it would just add more information to this situation," she explained.

As for the division of assets, she was honest: "I don't know, because we really haven't thought about it. We can easily be separated and not divorced. The house, at this moment, is kind of shared: the cats are there and we both come and go, we run into each other all the time," she said.
