The Government of Javier Milei came to the crossroads this Wednesday of massive media operations and disinformation campaigns directed against his administration and, recently, against the Chief of Staff, Manuel Adorni
.
Through the Official Response Office, the Casa Rosada warned of the numerous “operetas” in recent days and reaffirmed that management will continue to focus on complying with its reform program.
“IT'S RAINING THE OPERETAS”, begins the statement released by the Government in X, in which media news about alleged "internal conflicts “," waivers "and changes that “don't exist” are questioned.
In this regard, they said: “During the last week, blatant lies, defamation campaigns and media operations have multiplied regarding alleged conflicts, resignation and non-existent changes in the Government. These are just a few of the operettas of the last few days.”
In addition, they recalled that these types of situations are not new, but that in recent days they have reached an unprecedented level.
“They are part of a coordinated and malicious pattern of disinformation, with the same mechanism and the same destabilizing objectives as always. But this last week they were worse than ever, inventing the most delusional things ever said about government officials,”
they said.
In this context, the Executive stressed that the response to these versions will be to continue with management and show concrete results.
“President Javier Milei and his Cabinet are responding with concrete results and irrefutable facts,” they said, adding: “We will continue to fulfill the mandate that Argentines voted for us well: to organize the economy, to shrink the State, to ensure public order and to move forward with the profound reforms that the country needs.”
The Government's message.
Manuel Adorni's message The
official message was accompanied by a video of the Chief of Staff, Manuel Adorni, who at his press conference today pointed out against the fake news campaign, directed
especially against him.
“On April 29, I will be going to present my report to the National Congress, as established by our Constitution. It is an honor for me to be in charge of coordinating the cabinet of ministers of the most reformist government in history, because that is what we are dedicated to: to reforming the country. That characteristic seal of our management,” he said.
In his speech, Adorni argued that there are sectors affected by government measures that seek to discredit management.
“Obviously there are people with interests at stake who don't like our management and that's why they live inventing anything. They invented that the president wanted to sell babies, that we were going to open an organ market, that we were going to be able to buy weapons at kiosks, that we were anti-democratic and that we wanted to end education and public health. None of this happened,” he said.
Fake news.
In addition, the official questioned complaints related to presidential trips and highlighted economic results achieved. “They denounced the president for his trips abroad and he returned from them with a trade agreement with the world's leading power and tens of billions of dollars of investment. All ridiculous complaints and accusations that were never going to come to anything, whose sole objective was to install a climate of tension in the Argentine people.”
Along the same lines, he criticized the dissemination of alleged resignation within the government team. “They dedicated themselves to cleaning up each of the ministers from day one. There are some ministers who, according to the media, have already resigned and dismissed more than 20 people; a new one every month,” he said.
Finally, the Chief of Staff referred to the operations against him: “They did exactly the same thing with me and here we are. This same weekend they invented a million-dollar mansion in Martínez, which was visited by a former SIDE agent and I have secret information with which I extort money from the president and the general secretary of the presidency. Even that I had spent $250,000 on my credit card.
”
And he concluded: “But we have one thing very clear: all these declamations don't really change anything. We speak with results and we will continue working to be the government that Argentines voted for
