The historic state-owned company has restarted production lines to manufacture ammunition, artillery components, and equipment intended for the Argentine Armed Forces.
After years of neglect, the national government announced the reactivation of key productive lines in Military Manufacturing with the aim of supplying the National Defense again and recovering industrial capabilities that the country once had, but which have deteriorated over time.
One of the main advances was the ignition of the forging furnace to resume the production of shells and ammunition components of 105 and 155 millimeters. This is a central step to rebuild a production chain directly linked to the operational needs of the Armed Forces, especially in an international context where the defense industry has regained a priority position.

The company also aims to restart the production of ammunition for 81 and 120 millimeter mortars, in addition to artillery of 105 and 155 millimeters. In parallel, the lines dedicated to the manufacture of 105 millimeter ammunition for the TAM and SK-105 Kürassier tanks will be reopened, two armored systems that are part of the historical equipment of the Argentine Army.
Military Manufacturing will also participate in the production of parts and components for the TAM combat vehicles, as part of the modernization program for these armored vehicles. In this way, the company aims not only to produce ammunition but also to reintegrate itself into industrial projects related to the recovery and updating of Argentine military material.
According to official sources, the company has already delivered six million infantry projectiles to the Argentine Army. In addition, it has called on the research and development areas of the Armed Forces to assess current needs and direct production towards concrete requirements, leaving behind the logic of unproductive structures without real planning.

The plan also includes the launch of an international public competition to attract industrial partners and form agreements that allow scaling production, modernizing processes, and incorporating technology. The goal is for Military Manufacturing to regain volume, efficiency, and responsiveness, rather than being reduced to a bureaucratic structure without operational impact.
For decades, Military Manufacturing was known as the "mother of industries" of the Argentine Republic . The company used to produce ammunition for the Armed Forces and also for export, during a time when the country had much more robust defense industrial capabilities than the liberal administration plans to recover.
