A recent leak suggests that Grand Theft Auto VI could allow artists to upload unreleased music directly to the game. This innovation would open a new way to experience music within the GTA universe.
The information emerged on the podcast The Rory & Mal Show, where producer Jermaine Dupri revealed details that, without mentioning it explicitly, would be linked to the highly anticipated GTA 6.

What is this new music feature about?
According to Dupri, the idea would be for artists like Drake to have their own radio station in the game and upload tracks that aren't available anywhere else. This would include never-before-heard songs, uploaded directly within the title.
The system would allow each artist to manage their musical content, creating a unique experience for players. The proposal would move away from the typical virtual concerts seen in other games like Fortnite.
GTA 6 would follow the path started by GTA Online
Rockstar has already been strongly committed to music within its games. Since 2018, GTA Online has integrated real DJs like Solomun, Dixon, and The Blessed Madonna as playable characters in nightclubs.

It has also launched stations curated by artists like Rosalía and Arca, and even incorporated missions with Dr. Dre where unreleased tracks premiered. With each step, the intersection between gaming and music culture has become deeper.
