A leaker claimed that GTA 6 will show its first gameplay video in August 2026
Take-Two will publish its financial report for the second quarter on August 7, before the markets open. Typically, the company releases these reports after the market closes, which has fueled speculation about a possible prior announcement from Rockstar Games.
GTA 6 could show its first gameplay video in August, according to a leaker who is known to be accurate in their predictions. The information comes amid fans' demands for the scarce amount of promotional material released so far.
The CEO of Take-Two Interactive, Strauss Zelnick, had indicated that the marketing campaign for GTA 6 would begin during the northern summer. So far, the only updates have been the game's price, its standard and ultimate editions, and the opening of pre-orders.
User Millie A, considered mostly reliable within the leaker community, stated that fans of GTA 6 will receive "a detailed gameplay video about the world and mechanics" of the game in August.
Millie A has had significant successes in the past, although they have also published predictions that were too vague to be confirmed and some errors. Therefore, their word is taken with caution within the community.
According to this reading, the third trailer for GTA 6 could focus on gameplay, which is not historically Rockstar's usual style. It is also possible that the company first publishes another narrative trailer and then a separate gameplay video during the same month.
The game has a confirmed release date of November 19. Specialized journalists like Jason Schreier from Bloomberg and leaker NateTheHate have stated that Rockstar will meet this deadline.
So far, GTA 6 only has two trailers and a series of official screenshots. Industry analysts project that the title could generate billions of dollars in its launch week and become the biggest launch in video game history.
