Can GTA 6 reach US$ 1 billion before its premiere?
The growth in pre-orders opens the possibility that GTA 6 could reach US$ 1 billion in revenue before its launch. However, there is still no data confirming that the game will reach that figure.
The analysis firm NewZoo projects that the title could generate around US$ 5.2 billion during its first week of launch. This is an estimate of the expected commercial performance, not of already recorded revenue.
Rockstar Games also officially announced the date and time for the preload of GTA 6. This instance could boost pre-orders in the weeks leading up to the premiere, although the announcement does not include figures on the effect it will have on sales.
The data from Sensor Tower corresponds to estimates of pre-orders, copies sold, and revenue worldwide on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
