Nicolás Cabré is going through a difficult personal moment after the death of his brother Duilio, whom he bid farewell with a heartfelt post on his social media.
The actor shared a photo with his brother and dedicated some moving words, expressing all the pain of his departure.
“Duilito, it seems incredible to me to be writing this, but here I am, and with all the pain in the world, I’m going to tell you that it was beautiful to have you by my side for these 46 years”, Cabré began writing alongside the image where they looked happy.
He then added: “I know you always did the best you could with what you had, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hope you rest in peace, and reunite with all those you missed so much. Now it’s my turn, unfortunately, to miss you”.
The actor's brother was completely outside the industry, so not much was known about him. Some time ago, invited to Almorzando con Mirtha Legrand (El Trece), Cabré spoke about him and the relationship they shared.
“I have a brother, Duilio. He is older, we are a year and eight months apart, we did absolutely everything together. He is a taxi driver, he took over my dad's job”, he had shared at that time.
When asked how he was doing, the actor reflected: “He’s doing okay, it’s tough like for everyone. The reality of a taxi driver is difficult. It’s tough, but he manages it with dignity many times”.
The death of Duilio occurred a year after another family blow for the actor. In June 2025, Cabré had to say goodbye to his mother, Cristina Birckenstaedt, who passed away on the 12th of that month.
