They are selling Mirtha Legrand's historic car to pay her dismissed former chauffeur.

The family made the decision without informing the diva: the money would be used to face a labor lawsuit

Mirtha Legrand's life has faced a new setback. While she awaits the trial against her former driver  Marcelo Campos,it has emerged that her iconic car has been put up for sale. The decision, according to reports, would have been made without her direct knowledge.

Journalist  Juan Etchegoyen  revealed the news on his show Mitre Live. There, he detailed that the Mercedes Benz that used to transport the legendary host is already up for sale. The vehicle had remained unused since Campos's departure.

A legendary car, a costly legal case

For years, the Mercedes was a symbol of Mirtha Legrand's style. However, since Marcelo Campos's dismissal, the car has been kept in the garage of the building where the star resides.

According to Etchegoyen, the sale is due to a compelling reason: the money raised will be used to pay the former driver if the court rules in his favor. "Marcelo is very likely to win that lawsuit," the journalist stated.

He also added that Mirtha would not have been informed. The decision would already have been made by her closest circle: to sell the vehicle and allocate the funds to solve the legal dispute.

Interested parties and tensions within the inner circle

Etchegoyen also reported that there are already at least two interested parties in acquiring the iconic car. Even some neighbors from the sixth floor of Mirtha's building have inquired about its value.

"That car should be in a museum, it's the most important in Argentine show business," the journalist commented, highlighting the symbolic significance of the vehicle within the entertainment world.

The new driver doesn't want to repeat history

After the controversy with Campos, who was the star's driver for three decades, Carlos, Mirtha's new driver,  met with her team to discuss working conditions.

The journalist indicated that Carlos would have requested to be paid by the hour. The measure would seek to avoid repeating the experience of his predecessor, who, according to himself, worked excessively and was underpaid.

"This explains why Mirtha has been going out less lately," Etchegoyen revealed. According to sources close to her, the new driver has already made it clear that he will not allow abuses or gray areas in his employment contract.
