Team Cherry released a new patch in the Steam beta version that focuses on fixing bugs and improving overall stability

After an initial patch that slightly reduced the difficulty of some bosses, Team Cherry decided that the second update for Hollow Knight: Silksong would focus solely on technical fixes. The main goal is to optimize performance and eliminate bugs that could affect players' progress without altering the game's challenge curve.
Among the issues solved are abnormal behaviors of enemies such as Savage Beastfly, which would get stuck under the lava, or Shrine Guardian Seth, who would leave the combat area. Bugs with Lugoli and Silk Snippers, which could disappear or get stuck during battle, were also fixed.
Graphical adjustments and accessibility improvements
The update also introduces a new Dithering option in the advanced video settings. This tool aims to reduce color banding, although it may slightly soften foreground elements. In terms of accessibility, the description of the Herald’s Wish achievement was updated to clarify the requirements that players must meet.

Other key changes include fixes to multi-hit attacks such as Conchcutter or enhanced Silk Skills, as well as adjustments to the restoration of items like Plasmium Phial and Flea Brew. Errors were also solved in NPCs that did not play dialogues correctly and in the location of cocoons that previously appeared in inaccessible areas, which frustrated players seeking to complete the title 100%.
Community reception and the game's future
The Silksong community on Steam, which represents around 3.2 million sales, received the update with mixed opinions. Many celebrate that Team Cherry prioritizes technical stability, while others expected more difficulty adjustments after the impact of the first patch.

Although the studio did not introduce changes to enemy balance, the decision reflects a commitment to ensuring a gameplay experience free of serious bugs. The beta release allows players to collaborate in detecting new issues before the final rollout on all platforms, thus strengthening the bond between the community and the development team.
