Honor has introduced the new Magic V5 in China, its brand-new foldable smartphone that is already positioning itself as the thinnest in the world. The device directly targets the Galaxy Z Fold 7, featuring an ultra-thin design and a battery that surprises with its capacity.
With just 4.1 mm thick when open (0.16 inches) and 8.8 mm when closed (0.35 inches), the Magic V5 raises the bar in the foldable market. In addition, it incorporates a 6,100 mAh battery without sacrificing power or autonomy.

An extremely thin design that varies by color
The record thickness is achieved only in the white version, which is also the lightest at 217 grams (0.48 pounds). The black, gold, and red editions add a bit more thickness and reach 222 grams (0.49 pounds).
Honor reduced the size compared to the Magic V3, which measured 4.4 mm when open (0.17 inches). Even so, it managed to integrate more powerful components and a larger battery thanks to silicon-carbon technology.
More battery in less space
One of the most striking achievements is having included a 6,100 mAh battery, far surpassing the 5,150 mAh of the previous model. The brand also keeps 66 W fast charging and 50 W wireless charging.

In other parts of the world, the model could arrive with a slightly smaller battery, around 5,820 mAh. Even so, it would still be among the best in the segment.
