A 43-year-old man was arrested after attempting to set fire to a home where his ex-partner and their three children were present. The incident took place in the town of Estación Los Chañaritos, located in the interior of the province of Córdoba, on Tuesday afternoon. The intervention was carried out by police personnel from Santiago Temple.
According to official sources, the assailant arrived at the residence and physically assaulted the woman. After that, he proceeded to pour gasoline on various pieces of furniture inside the home. He then started a fire while the victims were inside the property.
Minutes later, police officers and firefighters arrived at the scene, managing to contain the fire and assist the family. Fortunately, both the woman and her children were unharmed. The swift action of the emergency teams prevented the flames from spreading.
